Медные трубы изготовляются согласно требованиям ГОСТ 617-90 из меди марок M 1, M 1р, M 2, М2р, М3, М3р с химическим составом по ГОСТ 859, томпака марки Л96 с химическим составом по ГОСТ 15527 нормальной и повышенной точности мерной и немерной длины в пределах от 1 до 6м.
Трубы могут быть холоднодеформированными (тянутыми) и прессованными; мягкими, полутвердыми, твердыми.
